Helmut Koller (b. 1954) is an Austrian-born artist working between Europe and the United States. Over several decades, his practice has moved between photography, mixed media, and painting, investigating realism, abstraction, and the instability of representation.

His early photographic work engaged movement and theatrical presence during his years in Vienna. This was followed by the mixed media series Homage to Egon Schiele, which explored fragmentation, gesture, and the tension between corporeality and interior presence. Across subsequent bodies of work, Koller has continued to examine how form carries psychological and existential meaning.

Koller’s work has been presented at major international art fairs and in museum contexts in the United States.
